Pan head self-tapping is a commonly used fastener, which is widely used in furniture, electronics, machinery and other fields. It usually consists of two parts, namely, pan head and self-tapping. The disc head is round or hexagonal in shape, which is usually used for decoration and fixation. Self-tapping is a special thread, which can automatically enter the thin plate or wood to play a fixing role.

These screws have an oversized “truss” head style with an undercut bottom, low height rounded dome top and recessed phillips drive.

The flat bearing surface underneath the head covers a larger diameter than a typical pan head screw. This increased surface area reduces the chances of crushing or marring the material the screw is tightened against.

A truss-style head is the preferred design in applications where minimal clearance exists above the head. Suitable for license plates.

Made of steel, A black oxide finish provides minimal corrosion resistance, best for indoor, dry environments. This finish is not suitable for outdoor applications, and will rust when exposed to moisture.
